Safety in Cold Store
The Invisidor MAT is by far and away the most technologically advanced air curtain developed to date. Based on three separate air streams of equal velocities, and specially developed for cold store environments with temperature differences of ± 40°C, the MAT air curtain effectively separates the cold store from the ambient area. The patented Biddle rectifier is used to prevent turbulence. The air curtain, which is installed in the ambient area above the open cold store door, draws air from both the ambient area and the cold store. These two air streams are different in terms of temperature and humidity. To prevent misting where the streams meet, a middle air stream is added. This air stream is also taken in from the cold store but heated to a higher temperature, and acts as a humidity absorption medium. Thus the air streams do not mix, and because there is no misting good visibility is maintained. The discharge temperature of the middle air stream automatically adjusts itself depending on the temperature in the ambient area. This means the energy consumed by the air curtain is always as low as possible. - no door to open, no misting and no icing – faster and easier access
- energy savings
- no icing-up of cooling equipment
- safer for staff
