Cold Stores
Controlling the climate in and around cold stores is very complex because of the large temperature difference between inside and outside the cold store. Within the food sector quality control and precise temperature regulation is critical, but every time the door of a cold store is opened the temperature fluctuates. Misting and icing-up around the door lead to poor visibility and accidents. Plastic strips and fast acting doors are sometimes used to deal with these issues, but are acknowledged to be less than ideal. Logic dictates that if the doors can be left open, as is often the case in the retail sector, access back and forth becomes quicker and safer. Biddle have therefore developed a sophisticated air curtain for such a situation, enabling the door to your cold store to be left open while keeping the all important temperature at a constant low level.
